Welcome to the Gathering for Sacred Altering!

We are delighted to have this opportunity to come together and live wisdom in a time of consecrated awareness.

What to Bring

We suggest you bring:

• Your instrument

(Please let us know if you need help to procure a drum to play)

• Water bottle

• Sun protection

(hat, sunglasses, reef-safe sunscreen, a light layer to cover skin if you like)

• Swimsuit

• Towel (Quick-dry towels like Turkish towels work well)

• Headlamp / flashlight

• Comfortable Walking Shoes

• Sandals (Called slippers in Hawai’i… we slip them off often before entering indoor spaces)

• Rain coat

• Warm layers for nighttime

•A notebook, if that appeals to you

Optional Additions:

• For the Shiniwa ceremony, a swimsuit and a towel are often all that people bring as garb for that cleansing. It can also be nice to have one cloth in each of these three colors: white, blue, and black. The blue and black ones are ideally large enough to be worn around the body (blue around the torso and black around the waist), while the white cloth is for the head.

• For fun, consider selecting some garb that symbolizes your elemental makeup. Some people feel more watery, while others feel more earthy. How might you exemplify your unique signature in your dress? Again, this is for fun, and is an invitation you are free to do with as you so choose.
